The Tomales Bay shipwreck was built in 1944 and was initially used to haul soldiers from aircraft carriers to port. After the war it spent many years fishing for salmon. A local resident eventually bought the boat with the intent to restore it, but life and a few storms got in the way and it washed ashore here in Inverness and was left abandoned. I made this photograph of a woman photographing the wreck in 2019.
